Just wanted to let you know everything went perfectly today when we met Keely. Ron and I loved her, so we took her right away. Mary was very helpful with her history. Keelly meowed in the carrier until about halfway home, then she settled down. (Think it was more the carrier than the company....as I sat in the back of the van petting her and talking to her the whole time.)
She is a beautiful cat. A perfect mirror image of my beloved Smokey that I lost in April. I thank you for rescuing her, and Christina for taking her into her home. We got home at 3 p.m., and put her in our bedroom until she gets acclamated. She hid under the bed, which I expected. Between 4 and 5 I went in to lie down and watch TV, and by 4:15 she came out, joined me on the bed and thoroughly enjoyed being petted. By 5 she didn't want to get off
the bed (she was too comfortable), so I took several pictures of her lying there all stretched out. So I'd say she survived the day well. Just got back from getting a sratching post at Petsmart.
I'll send you the pictures tomorrow. Again, thank you, thank you all for your efforts.
Best regards ~

All is well with Keely. She slept with us part of the night (when she wasn't exploring) and later this afternoon was checking out the whole house.
The first 2 pictures (keely on the bed) were yesterday about 5 p.m. Her eyes look a little half mast, "cause I'm exhausted...they threw me in a carrier and CATNAPPED me".
The second 2 pictures were today about 5 p.m.....Keely "cool" on the cat tree, "this isn't so bad...I've even got a window where I can watch EVERYTHING."
Talk to you again~Marion

Here are some photos I took of Keely the last couple of months. (In some of them she is guarding the flowers I got for Mother's Day.) She has adapted well, and is now staking out different spots in the house as her very own. It is so much fun to watch her. She is so curious. She's learning how to play, and has become much more playful. It's fun to watch her do her acrobatics trying to catch a miller bug. She is so FAST! She has adapted so well, she even ignores the 4 grandchildren when they come to visit...doesn't hide any more but just lies on her favorite cushion (where she was napping) and let's them pet her.
I'm SO glad you rescued her!
